As a world-traveled designer from Los Angeles, Cynthia Vincent has universal appeal and is widely regarded as one of the fashion world’s top contemporary designers. She channels her energy into classic, feminine, fresh silhouettes that encourage women to express their individuality through well-conceived, impeccably crafted, timeless garments. Cynthia began her love affair with fashion at the early age of six and later studied at Otis Art Institute and Parsons School of Design under the M.A.G.I.C scholarship. After graduating with a Silver Thimble Award, the fashion world immediately took notice. Cynthia was recruited by a handful of prestigious design houses including Harriet Selwyn before launching her first company, St. Vincent, in 1993. St. Vincent was an immediate success and Cynthia consequently merged St. Vincent to form the contemporary line Vince.
In 2003 Cynthia launched Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent. Named after the street she grew up on, the media immediately applauded Twelfth Street’s irresistible combination of casual elegance and pitch perfect style. On-trend but never trendy, the collection became one of the fastest growing, “must-have” labels in the marketplace. From Sienna Miller to Ashley Olsen, the line instantly became a celebrity favorite.
With the success of Twelfth Street and Cynthia’s love of shoes, the Cynthia Vincent shoe collection was created in 2005. Just as the clothing received immediate attention, so did her heels, gladiators and ballerina flats. Scarlett Johanson, Nicole Ritchie and Liv Tyler are just a few of the collections biggest fans. In 2009, the Cynthia Vincent handbag collection was born, making Cynthia Vincent one of the hottest lifestyle collections on the market today.
Most recently, Cynthia launched the exclusive Cynthia Vincent for Target Summer 2010 Shoe Collection with tremendous success. Selected as many editor’s must have items for summer, the collection was almost entirely sold out within 24 hours of arriving in Target stores and online. Cynthia Vincent collections are sold at Barneys New York, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, SHOPBOP.com, and over 500 specialty stores across the U.S. and select stores in Dubai, Japan and Europe.
